Tom D from Colorado starts off August with a instructional trip that was cut short due to some persistent coastal showers. A few missed off the bat and then his first snook on the Slayer Lures 4″ paddle tail in Tigerbait color.. I got Tom back out to finish up his instructional trip that was cut off due to weather and nailed a nice redfish.

We have hit good ole summer time. The waters warm and the breeze is too and the fish have been active.. The snook and redfishing has been great with a early am launch has produced some nice fish lately and also beating the heat and those summertime storms….

Read More...So far April has been a little breezy to say the least. Dr. Larry back down and this time he brought his brother Dr. Dan for another 2 days of Big Bend kayak fishing. The spotted seatrout were lit up on the incoming flat and the redfish rolled in amongst. The Big Bend never disappoints with the weather scenery and fishing…. Now Jeff B got on one of those windy afternoons which produced some short snook on topwater. The April wind saga continued to the end…. Brent’s instructional day went well with some short redfish.. Seth’s day was a little eco tour and fishing with a small snook ,bald eagles and some manatees.. Shane was in awe over the beauty of the Yankeetown estuary and all to see . The day consisted of a few that swung and missed on topwater and a nice snook top… Almost forgot Marty with a beauty slot snook and a short redfish… Also a few from personal trips…

Then Woody and Gary took the ride from south FL to get in on the action…. The Thermometer has bottomed out and the wind has had us on our toes….. With the cooler weather the “Nature Coasts” back country has heated up… Greg G with a pair of redfish on one of our coldest mornings.. A trip with Bill R into the backcountry produced a day full some nice spotted sea trout….
